THE CREATOR

Daryl Washington is living proof that you can be from small town America and have a larger than life career. A native of South Central Pennsylvania Daryl was born, raised and educated, for the first half of his academic career, among the rolling hills and green pastures of rural PA life. For the second half of his academic career Daryl decided to experience life in a bigger area and soon found himself at the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts, in the city of Pittsburgh. A fantastic city which blends the best aspects of metropolitan living with a hometown feel.

After graduating college with a double degree in Culinary Arts and Business Management Daryl found, rather ironically, that he also found the world of fashion modeling to be of keen interest. While modeling and fashion are far away from the realm of Culinary Arts, Daryl found he had an inexplicable eye for spotting undiscovered talent. Washington explains it this way, ” It just happened, I never read about it or took classes in modeling or fashion, I simply discovered this talent I had and it’s been like a sixth sense ever since”.

Turns out that is all Washington needed! Since then Daryl has lived and worked in New York City, worked for two boutique agencies in the city, and has built an impeccable reputation within the Fashion & Modeling Industries. He continued to use his “sixth sense” of spotting talent, and in combination with all his previous experience, decided that it was time to open his own management company. Daryl states; “I have been very lucky to have been able to be affiliated with many excellent and professional organizations and people over the years, but also decided that it was time to put my time and efforts into something that I had total creative control over”.

Today, Daryl, the country boy from rural PA, lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia and continues to work as a personal manager and developing fashion models and actors, but this time for his own company. Washington is credited with discovering the beautiful Jordan Richardson who modeled for Loreal, H&M, Levi’s, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Baby Phat and who is now with Elite Model Management. Washington also discovered Chantel De Berry of IMG, now known as Nik, and Phillip Smyre whom he discovered at the age of 17 in Los Angeles California and who he still represents. Some of Washington’s credits for Phillip Smyre are Levi’s, Perry Ellis, Express and Macy’s.
Additionally, young actor Christion James made a guest appearance on hit show “30 Rock” with the phenomenal cast of Alec Baldwin; Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan. Christion’s credits also include Verizon, Target, Hanes and he also had the pleasure of working with Mike the Situation of Jersey Shore for a magazine shoot. Actress Cecile Edleman is making her way as young actress booking national print jobs such as Avon & Verizon. New additions Jason Hurt’s roster, a new rising star, co-starred in Lionsgate’s new sports action drama “Game Time” which was released on all media and DVD. Additional credits for Jason are “How To Make It In America” on HBO, as well as, Warner Brothers comedy “Cop Out”. If you are a fan of Disney or Nickelodeon you can tune in and watch Global’s very own Michael Capperella as he made his appearances in not one but two Chuck E. Cheese commercials as the young man is a true character.

Washington’s Quote: “Don’t let anyone persons ignorance stand in the way of achieving your success, because no matter what you will make it”.
